What is the pay structure?
We pay 58¢ per mile, depending on experience and routes. We offer weekly direct deposit payments so you’re always paid on time.

How does the $1,800 orientation/transition pay work?
We provide $900 for training and $900 for transition pay, ensuring you don’t miss a paycheck during your onboarding period. Additionally, we may offer a seasonal bonus—for example, a $500 bonus if you complete orientation by May 31st (ask your recruiter for current details). This bonus is paid after your first 30 days.
Do you offer any bonuses?
A: Yes, we offer Safe Driving Bonuses, Mileage Incentives, and occasional seasonal bonuses—such as a $500 Orientation Completion Bonus when you finish onboarding by a certain date. Ask your recruiter for current details. These are in addition to the $1,800 guaranteed for your orientation and transition pay.

What are the typical miles per week?
Our drivers average 2,500 miles per week, regardless of region. Actual mileage may vary based on lane and load availability.
What kind of freight will I haul?
You’ll primarily transport specialized freight including steel, aerospace components, energy equipment (including windmills, solar panels, battery electric components), hazardous materials, and other specialized loads.
Do you have dedicated routes?
Yes, we offer some opportunities for dedicated routes and have dedicated fleets for specific customers.
Owner Operator Program
What is the pay structure for Owner Operators?
Owner Operators earn 85% of gross revenue with no forced dispatch, allowing you to run where you prefer. Payments are made via direct deposit every week.
What discounts do Owner Operators receive?
We offer fuel discounts, discounted maintenance rates, and access to our National Tire Program where you can purchase tires at discounted prices.
What equipment requirements are there for Owner Operators?
Your equipment must be newer than 2014. We accept both tractor-only and tractor/trailer combinations.
What loads will Owner Operators haul?
As an Owner Operator, you’ll be hauling flatbed loads with no-touch freight, meaning you can focus solely on driving without the added stress of loading and unloading cargo.
Application Process
What are the minimum requirements to drive for TP Trucking?
For Company Drivers
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid CDL-A
- 6-12 months of OTR and flatbed experience
- No more than 4 moving violations in past 36 months
- No more than 2 moving violations in previous 12 months
For Owner Operators
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 6+ months of flatbed OTR experience
- Equipment newer than 2014
- Clean driving record
- Clean drug test and Clearinghouse result
Note: If you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to reach out—we sometimes make exceptions for qualified drivers.
Do you offer flatbed training?
Yes! If you have driving experience but no flatbed experience, we offer a comprehensive flatbed training program based at our Central Point, OR terminal.

The “TP” in TP Trucking & Logistics does stand for Timber Products and we are proud to have started as the transportation division at Timber Products. While we still share resources with Timber Products today, we are now an independent, asset-based, for-hire fleet, serving a wide range of industries.
